Fracción de una cantidad

 Fracción de un número o de una cantidad:

Para representar la fracción de un número, dividimos la cantidad por el denominador y después el resultado se lo multiplicamos al numerador.

Por ejemplo:

La profe Nuria de Educación Física, ha colocado en una caja 45 pelotas de tenis que ha comprado para material a utilizar en sus clases con sus alumnos del colegio. Dos quintos de esas pelotas de tenis son de color verde. ¿Cuántas pelotas de tenis hay de ese color?

1º Dividimos el número 45 por el denominador, 5. 

        45 : 5 = 9

2º Multiplicamos el número que nos ha salido antes, el 9, por el numerador, el 2.

        9 x 2 = 18

3º Ya tenemos el resultado: Hay 18 pelotas de tenis de color verde.

¿Qué es una fracción y para qué sirve?


Una fracción representa el número de partes que tomamos de una unidad (por ejemplo, una tarta),que está dividida en partes iguales. En este caso, hemos dividido la tarta en 8 partes iguales.


Las fracciones se representan por dos números, separados por una línea de fracción:

La fracción está compuesta por:

        - el numerador (en este caso es el 1). Es el número que está arriba y nos indica las partes iguales que se toman de la unidad; es decir, hemos cogido un trozo de tarta, 1 trozo de los 8 en los que hemos dividido la tarta.

        - el denominador (en este caso es el 8). Es el número que está abajo y nos indica las partes iguales en las que se divide la unidad. En este caso, hemos dividido la tarta en 8 trozos.

Tenemos un octavo de tarta. Para leer las fracciones, el numerador se lee con número cardinal (uno, dos, tres, cuatro...) y el denominador se lee con número partitivo u ordinal (el segundo, que se sustituye por "medio", el tercero por "tercio"... y los demás mayores de 10 (décimo), se les añade la terminación -avo (onceavo, doceavo, treceavo... veinteavo, veinticincoavo etc.).

Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer


Perteneciente al movimiento del Romanticismo, poesía romántica.

Nacimiento: nació el 17 de febrero de 1836 en Sevilla

Fallecimiento: murió el 22 de diciembre de 1870 en Madrid.

Familia: Su padre fue José Domínguez Insausti, pintor costumbrista bien situado en Sevilla, y su madre Joaquina Bastida y Vargas, procedente de una familia acomodada.

Infancia y juventud: Cuando Gustavo tenía 5 años, murió su padre. Su madre con 8 hijos tuvo que enfrentarse a condiciones muy adversas. Y seis años después murió su madre. Los recogió su madrina Manuela Monnehay. Era una mujer culta y con dinero. Tenía una biblioteca particular y Gustavo se dedicó a leer mucho. Gustavo quería ser pintor o poeta porque le gustaba dibujar. Fue enviado al taller de dibujo del maestro Cabral Bejarano y después estuvo con su tío Joaquín.

Desde muy joven escribió poemas referidos a amores no correspondidos. Empezó a escribir en revistas y periódicos.

Se marchó a Madrid con el deseo de triunfar en la literatura en 1854 pero no lo consiguió. Contrajo una grave enfermedad. En Madrid conoció a Julia Espín, su amada, una preciosa chica de ojos azules.

Poesía... eres tú.

Matrimonio: En 1861 contrajo matrimonio con Casta Esteban, pero no fueron felices. A partir de entonces publica Rimas y Leyendas en revistas. Después de esta etapa, su hermano Valeriano y Gustavo se separan de sus esposas, y se trasladan a Toledo con sus hijos. La muerte de Valeriano, en septiembre de 1870, hizo que Gustavo muriera tres meses después por tuberculosis y una gran depresión.

El 23 de diciembre, un día después de su entierro, sus amigos se reunieron para ayudar a su viuda y sus tres hijos, publicando sus obras al año siguiente.

La obra de Bécquer es muy reducida, sencilla, cálida y sentimental. La componen sus célebres "Rimas", conjunto de 94 poemas breves, 25 leyendas y sus 9 cartas literarias con el título "Desde mi celda":
